IMS Technology Services, an award-winning provider of event staging and systems integration solutions, is thrilled to announce that the company has been honored with the 2025 Best Large Venue Project from Commercial Integrator for a Longwood Reimagined.
This is the 5th consecutive win for IMS, with previous awards from Commercial Integrator for the:
Longwood Gardens is one of the world’s premier gardens, spanning 1,100+ acres of gardens, woodlands, meadows, and conservatories in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Over a million guests visit each year to experience its horticultural displays, education programs, and cultural performances. Their mission is to inspire through excellence in garden design, horticulture, education, and the arts.
The Longwood Reimagined project was a transformative, multiyear $250M construction initiative that included extensive AV integration across the iconic and diverse site. Beginning in March 2021 and reaching substantial completion in November 2024, this ambitious undertaking redefined AV expectations for education, collaboration, hospitality, and visitor experience at Longwood Gardens.
When Longwood Gardens launched its largest capital project to date, IMS was invited to bid on the AV scope and awarded the work in 2021. All systems were completed in 2024, in time for A Longwood Christmas, the first major event in the renewed spaces.
The AV integration scope encompassed approximately 30 rooms/locations, from flexible classrooms and executive offices to public dining areas and a brand-new world-class conservatory. The IMS team engineered and installed fully integrated systems to support hybrid learning, seamless video collaboration, zoned paging and audio distribution, immersive visual displays, and complex AV in The Grove and conservatory complex. Every solution was designed for function and elegance, with minimal disruption and maximum flexibility.
